Code Grey – Bringing Me Down (single)
28th December 2015The Indian metal scene is in one hell of a healthy state right now, with a large number of up and coming young bands appearing on the scene on a daily basis.
Alternative rockers, Code Grey, are the latest of these bands to come to my attention. The band formed in Trivandrum (Kerala, India) in late 2014, and during the time since then have played a number of local gigs and festivals, and created quite a following.
‘Bringing Me Down‘, their debut release, is an aggressive alt-rock track that meshes together elements of post-grunge, alternative rock and pop-tinged industrial music to create something rather special. Yes, there are subtle influence of bands such as Nirvana, Linkin Park and The Down Troddence here, but these guys have created their own unique sound and a striking one at that.
This is an impressive debut from a band that could really go places, and I will be watching what Code Grey do next with real interest !
