THOSE DAMN CROWS ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM ‘POINT OF NO RETURN’ SET FOR RELEASE FEBRUARY 7, 2020

22nd January 2020 0 By John Deaux

Welsh rockers THOSE DAMN CROWS are pleased to announce a week of headline shows to celebrate the release of their forthcoming album ‘Point Of No Return’ in February 2020.

Set for release via Earache Records on February 7th, ‘Point Of No Return’ is the Bridgend group’s second album, following 2018’s critically acclaimed debut ‘Murder And The Motive’ which went straight into the Top 5 in the Official UK Rock Charts.

Frontman Shane Greenhall comments, “In order to grow as individuals and as a band, certain mindsets, relationships, and scenarios had to end. These conscious choices led us to make our most honest, emotional, and creative music yet. There was no going back. We had to move forward, smash the glass ceiling to evolve, whilst ensuring we kept the Crows DNA intact. The album and its title, ‘Point Of No Return’, are the direct result of making those decisions.”

The new album was recorded with legendary producers Colin Richardson (Bullet For My Valentine, Machine Head, Fear Factory, Sepultura) and Andy Sneap (Judas Priest, Trivium, Killswitch Engage, Opeth, Megadeth) and features thirteen blistering tracks of modern hard rock. Shane adds, “We jammed every song in Judas Priest’s rehearsal room (not bad aye?) moments before tracking and recording which meant we were literally capturing and recording the Crow energy we create when we play live.” He continues, “There are songs on this record that are brutally honest and are of a subject matter that are very difficult to open up and talk about.”

The band have shared the album’s first three songs so far. Album opener ‘Who Did It’ considers the suicide epidemic in band’s hometown of Bridgend and surrounding valley in recent years and how the media responded to these tragic events. ‘Set In Stone’ is a song about trauma, a past that dictates how you then approach your future and future relationships with others, while ‘Sin On Skin’ looks at depression and self harm, a lack of self worth and seeking any sort of feeling, good or bad.

‘Point Of No Return’ is available to pre-order now in a range of formats, including limited edition signed CDs and purple vinyl with guitar pick while supplies last. Order now at https://smarturl.it/TDC-PONR.
