InMe to reissue their debut album ‘Overgrown Eden’ on double vinyl via Music For Nations

3rd October 2024 0 By Jon Deaux

Originally released back in 2003 on Music For Nations, it reached number 15 in the UK top 40 album charts and number 1 in the UK rock chart. Kerrang readers named InMe as the best new band of the year, following them gracing the magazine’s cover the year prior, while Drowned in Sound hailed InMe as, ‘the best rock act this island has produced in fucking ages’.

Now over 20 years later ‘Overgrown Eden’ is set to get the reissue treatment with a double vinyl release on 1st November via Music For Nations. This expanded edition, limited to 666 copies comes with an additional bonus LP featuring 10 non-album/b-side tracks.

Frontman Dave McPherson reflects on the album:

“Celebrating the album that started it all for us with this delicious vinyl release over two decades later feels amazing. These songs were written a lifetime ago when I was a teenager and it’s incredibly surreal to be revisiting them, as well as all of the b-sides, especially alongside Music For Nations, who originally put the album out back in 2003! I’ve gone through a positive personal journey these last couple years so it feels profoundly full circle to start again with the beginning, and to enjoy the songs as intended, on stage, for our upcoming Overgrown Demons Tour later this year. Leading from the old to the new with our new album Demons coming next year!

The band are stronger than ever and the music from our roots feels invigorated and fresh, we wouldn’t be InMe if it wasn’t for Overgrown Eden so bring on the celebrations! We always took pride in making our b-sides as good as our album tracks so it’s lovely to see them reborn, the tune Ruins was written when I was just sixteen! It’s basically a whole sister album to our debut and old skool fans are in for a real treat. See you on the road, be excellent to each other and dream big!”
