RØRY BARES ALL ON VULNERABLE NEW SINGLE + VIDEO ‘ONE DRINK AWAY’
3rd December 2024Alternative artist RØRY is no stranger to vulnerability, but on latest single and music video for ‘One Drink Away’, she bares her soul more than ever. Confronting the very raw reality that sobriety and recovery is an everyday choice, she faces the hard truth of how quick and easy it could be to lose everything she has worked so hard for. The track is the fifth single to be taken from her upcoming debut album, RESTORATION, due 31st January via SADCØRE Records.
Pre-order RESTORATION here.On the vulnerability of the new single, RØRY comments:
“‘One Drink Away’ is one of the rawest songs I’ve ever written. Sobriety has given me everything—a family, and a career I thought I’d lost—but no matter how well I’m doing, addiction is always lurking, ready to pull me back under. This song is a reminder that even after six years, I’m still just one choice away from losing it all. It’s for anyone who knows that recovery isn’t a finish line; but a constant, daily battle.”
‘One Drink Away’ follows previous singles ‘SORRY I’M LATE‘, ‘In The Bible‘, ‘Blossom‘, and ‘Morality $uicide‘.
RØRY is gearing up to take the stage on her biggest headline tour to date across iconic venues throughout the UK, including London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town. On the announcement of her 2025 UK tour dates, RØRY comments:
“As I turn 40, it feels surreal to be preparing for my biggest UK tour yet. There was a time I didn’t think I’d make it this far, but here I am, stronger than ever and ready to share RESTORATION with the world. This tour is a message to everyone who feels like they’re ‘too late’ to chase their dreams. I want every fan in the crowd to feel like they’re part of something bigger, like we’re all rebuilding and restoring together.”
ABOUT RØRY:
Using rock music as a way of inspiring recovery, healing, and community, RØRY is a different kind of icon in the alternative scene, writing “the most intimate and intensely human music possible” (Rock Sound).
From the release of her debut EP Good Die Young (2022) and Family Drama (2023), to back-to-back sold out headline tours, over 50 million streams, and major festival appearances in 2024, the rise of RØRY has been sensational and inspirational. Without major label backing, it has been driven solely by a rapidly growing dedicated fanbase, drawn to her raw, cathartic, rock lyricism.
Described by Kerrang! as possessing “an authenticity that is astonishing to witness”, she also runs the ADHD Awareness account @ADHD_Love with her partner where they have over 3 million followers, and have released a best-selling book to help reduce the shame felt within the neurodivergent community.
As RØRY turns 40, she’s not just celebrating a milestone she once thought she’d never reach—she’s at the height of her creative powers. Recently crowned “Best UK Breakthrough Artist” at the Heavy Music Awards, she’s shattering every industry expectation and proving it’s never too late. Since the release of her debut EP GOOD DIE YOUNG in 2022, RØRY has amassed over 30 million streams, built a fan base of over 1 million, and sold out two UK tours.
Backed by heavyweights like Kerrang!, Rock Sound, and BBC Radio 1, she’s proving that authenticity and raw storytelling resonate on a massive scale. As the leader of the #37club, RØRY is determined to make recovery as iconic as the tragic #27club. She writes for those who’ve been told they’re too old, too broken, or too late to chase their dreams. Her explosive sets at Download Festival and Slam Dunk 2024 left tents overflowing with fans hungry for more.
