ARCHITECTS – THE SKY, THE EARTH & ALL BETWEEN TRACK – ALBUM REVIEW
11th March 2025 0 By Laura JaneThe wait is over and the highly anticipated new Architects album dropped on the 28th February 2025 and what can I say apart from it’s an outstanding release. After giving it a few listens in full since release, I feel I’m finally ready to give my verdict on this album. Has it changed since my first listen of the album on the 28th February? It has not… I truly believe this release has been a very strong addition to Architects’ discography and possible on of the best releases they have pulled out of the bag in a while.
Architects are a British metalcore band originally formed in 2004 by Dan and Tom Searle. Over time their sound has evolved and deviated back and forth in genre and often seemed experimental in direction, but always returns to their roots in metalcore. The new album drop sees a clear return to a very nostalgic sound from Architects and flirts with elements from their original sound and 2012-2014 era and feels this re-visitation has been long awaited.
Must-hear tracks featured on this album would be ‘Elegy’, ‘Whiplash‘, ‘Blackhole‘, ‘Judgement Day‘ and ‘Curse‘. Although three of these tracks have been previously released in lead up to the album they are still notable tracks on this album. You can check out the official video below for ‘Blackhole’.
[]With the album being produced by Jordan Fish, his influence is clear in the production quality of this album with a less rough sound and a more polished, crisp overall vibe for the new release.
Overall, the album was a solid listen with the provision of emotional depths, bold dynamic,s and captivating track.s I’ve been hooked on this album. I’d probably say since release I’ve now listened to this album around 6 times since release and my view on it hasn’t changed since. It’s a solid release which only seems to get better the more you listen to it.
