Atomik Warfare – Banished Into Damnation – Album Review
2nd April 2025If you’re after something gentle, something you can hum along to while sipping a cup of tea, then you’ve come to the wrong place. Banished Into Damnation by Atomik Warfare grabs you by the throat, throws you into the pit, and expects you to keep up.
Banished Into Damnation is fast, furious, and louder than your neighbour’s lawnmower at 7 AM. The guitars are so sharp you could shave with them, and the drums are hammering away like someone’s trying to break out of prison.
There’s “Lust & Sleeze”—which, let’s be honest, sounds like something your priest should be warning you about. This one is an absolute sprint, with vocals that could scare the life out of the Pope and riffs that feel like they’re trying to saw your head off.
By the time you get to “Nuclear Fusion,” you’re starting to wonder if you need a break—but no chance! This one throws in a bit more melody, just enough to fool you into thinking Atomik Warfare might have a soft side before they slam the pedal to the floor again. Finally, “Devoid of Light” closes out the album with the kind of energy that makes you want to go outside and start a one-man mosh pit in your driveway. It’s raw, relentless, and just the right amount of chaotic. All in all, Banished Into Damnation is an absolute beast of an album. It’s black thrash metal done properly—fast, aggressive, and completely unforgiving. If you like your music loud, nasty, and capable of waking the dead, then this one’s for you.
