Artist: Spite
Track: Made To Please
The mixture of intensity, speed and rhythm patterns make you uncontrollably bang your head. Our tracks like “Echoes” were heavily influenced by this song. It hits you with a 250 bpm relentless double kick, then into a head banging chug pattern.Artist: Thrown
Track: Grayout
Buster Odeholm was already a big influence of ours, so when Thrown came about we were instantly hooked. Crushing riffs with gritty vocals, capturing themes of mental strain and isolation. Its intense breakdowns and bleak tone throughout create an unsettling heavy atmosphere, which we love.
Track: Akudama
An awesome example of how to blend heavy and fast with atmospheric sounds. A mix of modern nu-metal guitar riffs, thundering drums, and aggressive vocals. It’s fast, has hard-hitting breakdowns but still with more melodic moments – this song just hits right.Artist: The Acacia Strain
Track: The Hills Have Eyes
This song was almost a blueprint for how to make downtuned songs hit hard while maintaining an upbeat tempo. At a time djent was becoming stale this was a breath of fresh air. Creepy cleans hiding behind crushing distortion and devastating drums.Artist: Fit For An Autopsy
Track: A Higher Level Of Hate
FFAA is a band we all love, and this track is exactly why. That intro builds up into a brutal, crushing rhythm just makes you want to start a pit, heavy as hell. The syncopated guitars and drums in this style are something we like to incorporate into our tracks.
