It’s with great pleasure I am here to announce the release of Fate’s Hollow newest single, “Child of Fortune” Child of Fortune is a sensation on the ears and a progressive twist on old-school pop-punk, bringing back nostalgic vibes and a treat to the ears. The track is a complex tapestry that weaves together powerful guitar riffs, dynamic drumming, and powerful vocals which together is an auditory adventure.
After the previous success of their highly successful debut release, The End Of Summer, earlier this year. Both singles are taken from the highly anticipated forthcoming concept album “The Heir Apparition Part I – Broken Crowns.”, which has been completely crowdfunded and is set for release later this year.
As ever with Fate’s Hollow, the new track is completely narrative-based, with the song acting as a narrative introduction to the main character of the album, a cocky, bored young man named Elo. The narrative-driven lyrics add another layer to their sound, inviting listeners into the world of Fate’s Hollow and beckoning them to join the band on their adventure.
The songs real-life inspiration comes from personal interactions with people who never seem content with what they have, always acting entitled to everything and stepping on everyone else to get what they want. The recurring theme of a silver spoon plays into the song’s cover art and really defines the entire idea in a single image.
Child Of Fortune was actually one of the first four or so songs we wrote as a band, so it’s been cooking for quite a while. It was a welcome change to the quite melancholy stuff we’d already written, and definitely turned out to be one of our more fun songs. It’s an interesting song narrative because its our first time meeting Elo, our main character, and we don’t exactly portray him in the best light. We want people to sort of dislike Elo to begin with, and then see him grow as a person as we put him through these story beats throughout Part I and eventually Part II. He will go through a lot, let’s put it that way.” – Reece, Vocals/Guitars – Fate’s Hollow.
May this be just the beginning of a long and illustrious career filled with innovation, success, and the continued ability to move inspire, and captivate audiences. I can’t wait to see what you guys have planned in store for us in the future.
