Conquest Music announce: The Book of Revelations album release – Olympus Mons
30th May 2025Conquest Music are proud to announce the release of The Book of Revelations second album, Olympus Mons.
Following on from the highly acclaimed first album, The Plumes of Enceladus, this album fuses Rock, Folk and Orchestral music with whimsical lyrics, melodic themes and quirky rhythms to produce three suites of fascinating subject matter from the world of antiques to Theseus and Ariadne to an interpretation of a play by Aristophanes.
Multiple acoustic guitar harmonies referencing British folk music heritage, the glories of jangling electric 12-string guitars, the pomp and circumstance of orchestral polyphony and out–and-out ROCK.
This album is a beautifully crafted work of complex themes, humour and a melodic texture that sits perfectly in the genre of music that is PROG ROCK.
“I am proud of this album as it not only provides some continuity with the first album, but also represents a development, in the lyric content particularly, as I’ve attempted to explore the emotional nature to the characters over and above the simple narrative.”Gerard Freeman
