CRUSADERS – ‘V’ NEW RELEASE 27/9/24
25th September 2024 0 By QuinccyCrusaders are a classic thrash metal band based in Glasgow, Scotland that harkens back to the heavy metal bands of the 80s, but with a modern attack. Intensity, speed, heaviness and a full on assault is the mission statement. Founded in 2023 they were formed of the ashes of various local Glasgow bands that came together for a clear purpose. The concept of being a 4 piece allows for a different dynamic! By using fast, groovy and crushing guitar riffs, they are able to craft songs that are not only metal, but also catchy enough for crowds to latch onto and sing for days after hearing it.
With a lyrical style that focus’ on pop culture, films, stories and even video games, the songs that the band put forward are relatable, and also daringly fun. Crowd engagement has always been a huge part of the Crusaders show, and by having big gang vocal chorus’ this has meant that its a show for all. Within a year the band has played some notable concerts, which include Red Crust all day festival, being part of Rock Radio’s Live N Loud as well as the SOS Fest ’24 in Manchester.
Debut single ‘V’ will be released across all platforms on the 27th September. It’s a song that has already become a recognised staple in the band’s set. With an aggressive, fast tempo, brutal attack, ‘V’ has already caught the ears of listeners at gigs!
“V. The twenty second letter of the alphabet. The only letter in the English language that cannot be used to make a two lettered word. It stands for Victory. It stands for Veneration, but it also stands for Vengeance. The letter V has become synonymous with various pop culture references, one being the personification of the V mask. A mask that stands for freedom, anonymity and discord. The concept of remember the idea, not the man is prevalent here. The song stands as an example of the corruption of the current state, as well as how things may turn out to be. A thrash metal cry for injustice against how we live, and more dangerously, what may come”.
