ENGULFING HARD ROCKERS NIGHT THIEVES DETAIL NEW EP & SINGLE!
30th October 2023Hugely inviting heavy rock quartet NIGHT THIEVES are back with an immersive new EP and hooky single. The Brit rockers unleash their third EP in three years, Polarity, which lands on Friday 19th January 2024. NIGHT THIEVES have also just released a brand new single, Collide, out now.
With much-revered support from Planet Rock, Fireworks Magazine, Powerplay, HRH, Total Rock, and ERB Magazine, NIGHT THIEVES are destined to break through in 2024. Hailing from the nation’s capital and initially formed as a trio comprising Jess Moyle (Vocals), Paul Andrew (Guitar), and Rick Hunter-Burns (Bass), NIGHT THIEVES soon earned glowing comparisons to everyone from Biffy Clyro, Royal Blood, Architects, and Spiritbox. Dispatching a sound that is steeped with stout riffery, intriguing phrasing, and captivating vocal lines, the band soon picked up a legion of followers after a raft of highly engaging live performances and the release of their stunning debut EP, Battle Cry, which was produced by Jason Wilson (Dinosaur Pile-up, Reuben).
The Londoners continued to hone in on their craft and pushed onwards, working with Paul Visser (Black Orchid Empire, Hawxx) for their sophomore EP, Spiral. The EP helped to elevate NIGHT THIEVES even further and sparked the support of major press and radio. Another successful run of live shows also backed the EP, and suitably rounded off the release cycle. Following on from the success of Spiral, NIGHT THIEVES headed into the studio with Romesh Dodengoda (BMTH, Funeral For A Friend) to work on their next EP, Polarity.
The band remarked: “We sent over our demos and Romesh loved the songs and had some great ideas for them. We didn’t have a drummer at the time but were fortunate to have Tom Connolly from Dream State fill in for us.”
Polarity is a masterful record with each track displaying the band’s layered dynamics and weaving rhythms. Bone-crushing riffs are pitched against anthemic refrains, and this infectious amalgamation is breathtaking. Aided by a lyrical focus that explores opposing views and versions of events, the record holds surprises for the deep thinker, and now with the addition of new drummer Ryan Delglyn, NIGHT THIEVES are a force to be reckoned with.
