German Argentine Multi-Instrumentalist Sebastian Schneider Announces New Album “Son Of The Sun”

10th September 2024 0 By Jon Deaux

German Argentine multi-instrumentalist Sebastian “Seb” Schneider is set to release his highly anticipated new album, “Son Of The Sun” on October 15th, 2024! The announcement comes ahead of the release of his new single ‘Keep Them Waiting’ on September 15th, 2024.

The single, a polished piece of pop/rock, showcases both Seb’s technical skill and desire to infuse emotional depth in his work. A unique blend of forward-driving tempo with a pinch of sadness balances the song’s natural dynamic energy with introspective moments.

Seb’s musical journey began at the age of five when his parents enrolled him in a Conservatory as a classical guitarist. Transitioning to the electric guitar in his early years, he soon found his voice in the underground music scene. A pivotal moment in his career came in 2007 when he secured a publishing contract with Warner/Chappell for his second album, “Una Vida Mas”, marking his first breakthrough.

This success propelled him onto the international stage, allowing him to tour in Latin America and perform at prestigious venues in Argentina, including Luna Park and major festivals like BAJoven.

In pursuit of new horizons, Seb relocated to Germany shortly before the pandemic. His music is a dynamic journey of self-discovery, where genres intertwine seamlessly—from anthemic stadium rock to intimate country ballads, with the raw energy of post-punk combined with classic pop and rock music. His distinctive voice and signature fingerstyle guitar work set him apart, particularly as he combines lead guitar and vocals in his live performances—a rare and captivating combination.

All of which has led to the release of “Son Of The Sun”. A horse that eats gold, vanity, walking ghosts and broken hearts are just some of the themes Seb has explored on his latest outing. From rock songs that reminisce of other artists that you can never really pinpoint to haunting western-style sounds, nothing here feels superfluous. And however disparate all this might seem, a subtle, almost magical thread ties the entire work together, creating a cohesive listening experience.

Reflecting on his artistic evolution, Seb once shared, “I didn’t mean to become what I became. In reality, the guitar was a shield so I wouldn’t feel exposed while singing.” Today, his music is a conduit for connection, carrying a message that resonates on a deeply emotional level. “Music is an emotional language,” he explains. “Lyrics are important, but in my work, they are inseparable from the music. Both convey a single emotional message. My goal is for people to feel, not think.”
