Holyrude Vault – Lies – SINGLE Review
25th November 2023As you know if you’re a regular follower of this particular site, we very rarely review singles, HOWEVER, we’ve made an exception in this case as it’s a bit of an earworm.
Holyrude Vault was formed in 2021 and has been making waves on the live scene since then, supporting acts such as Pretty Boy Floyd, Dog Tired and Kickin Valentina.
Holyrude Vault pride itself on bringing back the Sleeze and swagger of good ol rock n fuckin’ roll.
Their latest self-released single Lies is just a taster of the EP that is to come in February 2024.
The song itself is full of hairspray and reminiscent of what was going on in L.A back on the sunset strip with the likes of Faster Pussycat and the glam scene that was happening in the UK with bands like Tigertailz. You can almost taste the grime that oozes from the riff.
Holyrude Vault is a band that you should keep up with as they promise big things. It’s going to be interesting to see if they can deliver the goods on the EP as this single is ace.Holyrude Vault would be a mighty fine support act for the terrific Kira Mac and the very talented Elles Bailey as they fit rather nicely into the whole Americana vibe.
Holyrude Vault isn’t re-inventing the wheel, just putting their own stamp on it just as BBS do.
