“I have toured the UK in the past in solo acoustic mode, and the audiences have always been incredible. We planned on bringing my band in 2020, so I’m excited to finally bring them in June, which will be the first time I have played electric in the UK since doing a handful of shows with my other band, Cold Chisel, in 2012. I can’t wait to come back!”
Moss’s band contains some of the finest musicians in Australia with Clayton Doley – Keys (Joe Bonamassa, Jimmy Barnes), Zoe Hauptmann – Bass (Neil Finn, Paul Kelly, Missy Higgins), and Kerry Jacobson – Drums (Dragon, Mondo Rock)
Moss, who was born and raised in Alice Springs and who was enthralled by the genius of Jeff Beck, was voted as Australia’s best guitarist, ahead of both AC\DC’s Angus and Malcolm Young, and has released six incredible and dynamic studio albums – The #1 and multi-platinum, Matchbook, Worlds Away, Petrolhead, Let’s all Get Together, Soul on West 53rd and the self-titled Ian Moss and the 2020’s brilliant album Live.
2019 saw the 30th Anniversary of the iconic and landmark album Matchbook. The album was released on August 1, 1989, and peaked at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart.
