Izzy Reign – Izzy Reign – Album Review

Izzy Reign – Izzy Reign – Album Review

28th March 2025 0 By Jon Deaux

As soon as The Sunken Place starts you’ll realise that Izzy Reign isn’t going to be just another album of factory-made, auto-tuned sludge. This is going to be a wrecking ball to the prefab plastic of modern music, a full-throttle scream in the face of manufactured mediocrity.

Phobos doesn’t just describe anxiety, it’s the sound of your pulse speeding up. and the reality of what it’s like to live in that moment, frozen and burning at the same time

Pandora’s Box unleashes moments of aching beauty before dragging you under with bone-snapping intensity between beauty and destruction.

Into Oblivion dives into a freefall into the abyss of intrusive thoughts and storm of metal-drenched chaos; this track doesn’t just play; it exorcises.

Just when you think you’ve figured this album out, Lite-Brite comes into existence. It feels nostalgic on the surface, but underneath, it’s something much darker. It’s the sound of your past waiting for the right moment to remind you of everything you thought you’d left behind, and before you know it, the album is over.

Izzy Reign isn’t background noise; it isn’t here to comfort you. It’s not trying to be nice. It’s here to tell the truth, no matter how raw, how ugly, or how uncomfortable. This is a record that will remind you you’re still alive. This isn’t something you casually put on while scrolling through your phone.
