MANCHESTER HARD ROCK BAND JiJ RELEASE NEW SINGLE “NEVER GONNA FADE AWAY”.
15th November 2024 0 By Laura JaneManchester Hard Rock band JiJ are finishing this year and setting up an exciting 2025 with brand new single ‘Never Gonna Fade Away’. Produced in-house by John Andrews (Drums/Vocals), this follows 2023’s release ‘The Dying Light’ which was described by RGM as a ‘breathlessly dynamic love letter to 90s grunge’.
The song puts the pedal to the floor with funk-metal riffs, a cinematic bridge layered in pads and shredding guitar solos from James Swindell (vocals/guitar) and Chris Savin (guitar/vocals) that call back to the greatest excesses of the 80s. Combined with the 4 part vocal attack that has come to define JiJ’s sound, this is another set of melodies that wouldn’t go astray in a Stadium.
James Swindell comments:
“I believe that true wealth doesn’t come from material possessions, but the stories that you experience every day. I’ve been lucky to have friends and family that give me hope that tomorrow is worth a go in a world I don’t always believe is worth trying for. It can be so easy as a songwriter to use darkness as inspiration, but taking hope out of it and creating a message like ‘Never Gonna Fade Away’ is an achievement I can hope to never stop striding for”.
Set to be released on Monday 18th November with an accompanying lyric video from Liam Hatchell (bass/vocals). The launch will be celebrated with an end of year showcase at The Star & Garter in Manchester. Supported by Fallen North and Shiva May Care, tickets are on sale now.
Formed in 2017, the band describe themselves as taking an arena rock show and bringing it to any sized stage with bombast and energy. Described as being For Fans Of Black Stone Cherry, Alter Bridge, Audioslave and Alice In Chains.
