Matt Pearce & The Mutiny Releases New Video for ‘Promised Land’ from ‘The Soul Food Store’ Album

Matt Pearce & The Mutiny is excited to announce the release of the new video for their single ‘Promised Land,’ a standout track from their album, The Soul Food Store. Released in 2022, the album garnered significant praise, with Powerplay Magazine hailing it as ‘Album of the Year’ and awarding it a perfect 10/10 score. The Soul Food Store also achieved commercial success, reaching #1 on the Amazon Blues Charts.

‘Promised Land’ is a Latin-grooved single featuring sultry, smooth Santana-esque rhythms and a standout guitar solo. Matt Pearce describes the song’s lyrics as “possibly about a religious epiphany or perhaps something more carnal. I’ll let the listener decide…”

The song was written during the lockdown, which indubitably inspired the opening line, “for 40 days and 40 nights I been walking a wasteland.” Matt further shares, “During our recent UK tour, we played it live for the first time, and it connected so strongly every night that I knew we had to put it out there for wider consumption.”
