Metal 2 The Masses Burnley Heat 1 – Sanctuary Burnley; 7th March 2025.

9th March 2025 0 By Laura Jane

With the Metal 2 The Masses events going strong throughout the UK with bands fighting their way for the opportunity to get to play on the new blood stage at the legendary Bloodstock Festival, this week we saw the Burnley heats get underway and join the races.

Sanctuary at Burnley plays host to the events for the Burnley Region.

Here’s what went down:

Competing Bands:
1. Ace Of Kings; A 5 piece Hard Rock band based in North Lincolnshire bringing high energy! All current original songs have had air time on BBC Introducing and Hard Rock Hell Radio!
2. Th3orist; A 5 piece technical, melodic metalcore band based in Wigan! Their sound is large, intricate with heavy riffs and soaring melodies!
3. World Chaos; A 3 piece thrash, groove metal band from Halifax! Their sound is heavy, fast and hard, lyrically drawing inspiration from injustice, hypocrisy and complacency!
4. Shadow Company; A hard-hitting metal band, the band blends elements of thrash metal, doom and metalcore to create a powerful and distinctive sound!
5. Godam; A 2 piece groove punk band from the North West!

Crowd Vote: Ace of Kings.

Judges Vote: Shadow Company.

Overall, every band that played tonight did superb and the competition was tough. It should be interesting to see how the next heats turn out. What an opening heat to start the Burnley region competition off.

The next heat is due to go ahead on Friday 28th March 2025. Competing will be; Neo Cryptid, Skye, Viral Strain, Only The Righteous and Warlock A.D.

Doors are at 8pm, Entry is £3.
