Rainbreakers Premiere video and Announce UK Autumn Tour

13th May 2021 0 By Jon Deaux

The ever-rising, rock ‘n’ soul-inspired Rainbreakers continue to release impressive new material from their forthcoming second album with their brand-new single ‘Light Me Up’ on Friday 28th May and are delighted to share its brand-new video.

Following the highly successful release of their previous single ‘Ashes’including a limited-edition vinyl 7-inch— ‘Light Me Up’ will also receive a special, limited release on the much-loved, and highly-collectable classic physical format!

‘Light Me Up’ is about coming-of-age and is inspired by the Grimm fairy-tale ‘Iron Hans’,” explains frontman Ben Edwards, “The song explores the need to break away from parental restraints and learn how to become your own person.

“This part of life is full of pitfalls,” he adds, “as “the devil keeps on testing” us, and can lead some down darker paths if they are not given the right push. The song begs for anyone to give a helping hand and show the right path to take so that you can reach your full potential and this video really represents that fire inside trying find a release.”

‘Light Me Up’ follows in the triumphant wake of ‘Ashes’ the Rainbreakers’ first single from their latest album, ‘Forgotten Child’, which is set for release next year.

‘Forgotten Child’ brings together Rainbreakers’ trademarks — electrifying rock anthems, acoustic ballads, and melodic soul songs — into one package. The songs were written collaboratively: their cinematic arrangements lovingly crafted and shaped by all four bandmates over the course of 18 months.

Rainbreakers are: Ben Edwards (vocals); Charlie Richards (guitar); Ash Milburn (Bass); and Sam Edwards (Drums). The band has played to capacity crowds at iconic venues such as the 100 Club, The Borderline, The Sage, and Rock City. They’ve also enthusiastically supported notables like The Kris Barras Band, Wille and the Bandits, Alabama 3, The Temperance Movement, Samantha Fish and Devon Allman.

What’s more, performances at festivals like the Great British Rock and Blues Festival, Wilderness Festival, Le Blues Autour du Zinc, and Ramblin’ Man have seen the band receive rave reviews and many an accolade, including nominations for the UK Blues Challenge and ‘Best Emerging Artist’ in The British Blues Awards, affirming Rainbreakers’ standing as a breakthrough band to watch. They are looking forward to getting back out on the road this Autumn, having just announced their full 11-show headline tour. See their website for full details of the new dates and venues.
