Rising Melodic Metal Band Alyris Release Debut EP “Envy and Demise”
16th December 2024Alyris are a nostalgic throwback to the early Melodic Metal of the 2000’s hailing from the southwest of England (Taunton).
Fusing ferocious harsh vocals from Luis with epic melodies from Hazel, crushing guitar riffs and hard-hitting drums, Alyris creates a sound that is instantly recognisable with a fresh twist, breaking away from some of the norms in the current music scene today. “Based on the Prince of Persia game of the same name, the prince has been overtaken by a demon and is battling with himself for control of his own body and mind. Eventually, the resolution is that the Prince and the demon become a symbiotic being and work together to achieve dominion and peace. With different vocal tones in the song, Two Thrones tells a story where singers Hazel and Luis’ voices’ are juxtaposed with the light and shade of the lyrics.”
