Scarlet Rebels Release New Single and Video “It Was Beautiful” Ahead of Upcoming Album ‘Where The Colours Meet’

10th July 2024 0 By Jon Deaux

Scarlet Rebels are thrilled to announce the release of their latest single and video, “It Was Beautiful,” from their new album, ‘Where The Colours Meet,’ which is set for release on August 16, 2024 via Earache Records.

Wayne Doyle, the band’s dynamic frontman, shares his insights on the new track ‘It Was Beautiful’ is, in my opinion, one of the best songs I’ve written. We captured the essence and the feel of what I was trying to write about and the story I was trying to tell. That yearning for a time that’s past, not knowing at the time how good you had it until it’s passed and all you have left is the memories. “

The accompanying video for “It Was Beautiful” breaks new ground for the band. Doyle explains, “We wanted to make a video for the song that was completely different to anything we’ve done before… We show a visual of what the song speaks of, so having all of the physical possessions and items being removed until I was alone on a couch, not having any belongings and just watching time drift away… Time is the most precious thing in the world as, once you’ve spent it, you can’t get it back.”

‘Where The Colours Meet’ represents a bold evolution in Scarlet Rebels’ sound. Early reviews have been overwhelmingly positive, with Powerplay Magazine awarding the album a perfect 10/10, stating, “Scarlet Rebels have just reinvented themselves and ascended to another level.”

The band has released several notable tracks so far. “Secret Drug” was voted Classic Rock Track of the Week, while “Grace” received a 5/5 from Planet Mosh. “Divide and Conquer” was praised by Metal Planet Music as “the perfect soundtrack to a righteous revolution, this is rock ‘n’ roll to bring down dictatorships.” Most recently, their single “Streets Of Fire” was played on BBC Radio 2’s The Rock Show with Johnnie Walker.

Doyle reflects on the album’s title and themes: “The lyric in “It Was Beautiful”, ‘where all the different colours meet’, summed up this record for me. It’s this melting pot of different themes and topics as well as the different sonic elements within the record that made the title fitting.”

Where The Colours Meet’ will be available in several exclusive formats, including limited edition vinyl, signed CDs, and special collector’s bundles. The signed splatter vinyl is now sold out.
