Sicksense – Corss Me Twice – Album Review
28th March 2025Cross Me Twice by Sicksense isn’t here to hold your hand or play nice—it’s a smack in the face to the polished, lifeless drivel clogging up the airwaves.
Sicksense isn’t just dipping a toe into heavy music; they’re diving in headfirst, thrashing around with metalcore, nu-metal, and even a bit of rap to keep you guessing.
Fronted by the powerhouse duo of Vicky “Killer V” Psarakis and Rob The Ripper, this album is an absolute riot of sound, aggression one moment, melody the next, and then back to a full-throttle sonic assault.
On Repeat mixes crunchy riffs with electronic flourishes, while Wildfires slams you with spitfire rap verses before launching into a massive, anthemic chorus. It’s unpredictable, it’s chaotic, and it’s got attitude.
Masquerade Parade delivers a gut punch with its shifting dynamics, dragging you through deep, brooding lows before throwing you into an explosive chorus. Then there’s Throwback, which takes a step back with introspective rap and a melody that cuts right through the noise. It’s all balanced just enough to make the heavier moments hit even harder.
What makes Cross Me Twice stand out is its refusal to settle into one box. It’s not just another metalcore record, nor is it blindly clinging to nostalgia. Sicksense is taking those familiar elements, twisting them inside out, and chucking them back at you in a way that feels fresh.
If you’re after something safe and predictable, go elsewhere. But if you want an album that grabs you by the throat and doesn’t let go, Cross Me Twice is well worth your time.Score 8/10
