SKINDRED ACOUSTIC SET WAX AND BEANS, BURY 10TH AUG 2023
11th August 2023 0 By DJ PixieToday was an amazing turnout as metalheads flocked in their droves to a small quaint little record shop in Bury, for a special acoustic feature from world-renowned reggae metallers Skindred.
Frontman Benji Webbe and guitarist Mikey Demus performed tracks from their latest album ‘Smile’, which is currently surfing the charts for #1 album.
Benji and Mikey had fans singing along which could be heard by members of the public down the street who later stopped us and commented that ‘it was so nice to see big named artists hitting our little town center’.
With Benji bouncing about the stage the crowds were revved up for an afternoon full of high energy and party vibes the atmosphere in this little venue was thumping.
All fans that gathered together from the rock and metal community were all in high spirits throwing their horns in the air to this arduous duo, and some even brought their children, the next generation of little rockers and metal heads to which the band interacted with in such a great way, its always nice seeing the kids down at the front bopping along to the music.
A fabulous turnout, a great little venue for acoustic acts with absolutely delicious food to boot!
A great afternoon! Fun was had by all!
After a massive surge in their 2005 single ‘Nobody‘, which became viral through the newest Social Media trend on TikTok this led to a whole new flock of fans.Skindred also supported the almighty rock legends KISS in June this year for Kiss’es final ever UK shows on their farewell tour.
For this Skindred to gain #1 position in the album’s UK charts would be the icing on the cake for this band, as it would be their first #1 album in the UK charts since they formed 25 years ago.
We are all sitting on the edge of our seats with anticipation, hoping the guys smash this goal and get their rightly deserved #1 spot.
We’ve got our fingers crossed for you guys!
