Staccs deals a double dose of entertainment with two new FAST channels, Staccs TV Throwback and Staccs TV Celebrate
7th June 2024Swedish tech startup Staccs, a free ad-supported television (FAST) technology company with its own lineup of music video channels, has expanded its partnership with Samsung TV Plus with the addition of two new channels. Following the successful launch of Staccs TV in the UK, Spain, and Italy earlier this year, two brand new channels are being launched – Staccs TV Throwback and Staccs TV Celebrate, available to UK viewers on Samsung TV Plus from 13th June.
Staccs TV Throwback is a brand-new music channel dedicated to showcasing music from previous decades with a particular focus on the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s. The channel’s specially curated programming will offer a great dose of nostalgia with the channel first kicking off by celebrating the year 1984 and spotlighting all the fantastic music that marks a 40th anniversary.
Also launching on the same day is Staccs TV Celebrate. A channel dedicated to all occasions worth celebrating, this new FAST channel will provide the best soundtrack to that celebration. Whether it is an anniversary or festivity, there will be an eclectic variety in music programming and from June, the channel will kick off with music highlighting Pride, the midsummer season, and various festival moments as all the summer concerts and events get underway. Both Staccs TV Throwback and Staccs TV Celebrate will be available across the UK, Spain, and Italy exclusively on Samsung TV Plus.
Robert Kviby, CEO of Staccs, said: “We are delighted to introduce these two new FAST channels to the UK music scene. Our mission is to bring back real music television and with these themed channels, fans will be able to enjoy music in a very special way. Our partnership with Samsung is going from strength to strength, and these two new channels are a testament to this. Staccs TV Throwback and Staccs TV Celebrate will offer a unique blend of nostalgia and celebration, as well as showcasing how Staccs is genuinely building the best music TV platform around.”
In addition, to accompany the launch of Staccs TV Throwback, Staccs has created a special promotional advert inspired by Ridley Scott’s 1984 Apple Super Bowl advert. This advert highlights the core value of the channel in which it is a stark contrast to the algorithmic flood of ‘audio’ on major audio platforms – commenting on the lack of individuality in today’s music industry. The powerful advert emphasizes how Staccs TV Throwback is resurrecting the true spirit of music television.
Staccs TV Throwback and Staccs TV Celebrate will be available to watch exclusively on Samsung TV Plus, an entertainment hub available on select Samsung Smart TVs and Galaxy devices, allowing the fans to watch in the comfort of their own home or on the go.
