The Blue Stones – Metro – Album Review

The Blue Stones – Metro – Album Review

21st March 2025 0 By Jon Deaux

The Blue Stones are back with Metro, and this one hits like a bar fight at closing time. It’s a swaggering, riff-heavy beast that drags you through the highs and lows of a life spent chasing something real.

The second Your Master kicks in, you know you’re in for a ride. The guitars come in hot—thick, snarling, and oozing attitude—while the drums land like a punch to the gut.

Tarek Jafar’s baritone guitar growls with enough weight to rattle your chest and Justin Tessier’s drumming? Locked in, relentless, and swinging just enough to keep your head nodding whether you want to or not.

Then you get Come Apart—one of those tracks that’s got just the right amount of grit. The riff is simple but mean, the groove swings just enough to keep you hooked. It’s the anthem for anyone ever feeling like they’re running on empty.

Happy Cry kicks the door in. The energy is undeniable, and it feels like that moment when you finally say, “Screw it,” and start fresh.

With Metro, The Blue Stones refine their signature mix of bluesy swagger and modern grit, walking the fine line between control and chaos. It’s not polished, not perfect—and that’s precisely why it works.

This one’s got teeth.
Score 7.5/10
