The Blues Podcast To Host Charity Blues Quiz

On Friday 29^thMay, at 3pm EST / 8pm BST / 9pm CET, The Blues Podcast will host a live blues trivia quiz online to help promote and raise money for The Blues Foundation’s COVID-19 Blues Musician Emergency Relief Fund. The winner will receive a selection of vinyl records from Provogue artists that have previously won awards from the Blues Foundation.

The quiz will be hosted by The Blues Podcast presenter Big Boy Bloater and it’ll give you the chance to test your knowledge of the blues and if you would like to also help The Blues Foundation, there will be an option to donate to the Emergency Relief Fund assists blues musicians during these difficult times.

Barbara Newman, President and CEO of The Blues Foundation, says; “The Blues Foundation is so appreciative of The Blues Podcast for its support of our COVID-19 Blues Musician Emergency Relief Fund during its May 29th Live Blues Trivia Quiz for Charity. So many blues musicians have been impacted by club closings and festival cancellations during these difficult times, and having individuals like Big Boy Bloater and others in the industry who understand and want to help really makes a difference to our community.”

The Blues Foundation’s mission statement is to preserve blues heritage, celebrate blues recordings and performances and expand the worldwide awareness of the genre. The Emergency Relief fund helps them provide direct support to blues musicians whose livelihoods have been impacted by the recent COVID-19 pandemic.
