THE FIVE HUNDRED LAUNCH NEW ALBUM 28th FEBRUARY 2025
12th December 2024 0 By Jon DeauxBritish metal band THE FIVE HUNDRED are set to deliver their most ambitious and chilling work yet with their third full-length album, ‘Ghostwriter’. Promising a harrowing sonic journey through a dystopian nightmare, ‘Ghostwriter’ explores themes of societal collapse, human despair, and the fragility of freedom under the crushing weight of oppression. The band masterfully weaves moments of eerie calm with relentless intensity, creating a chilling atmosphere that leaves listeners on edge.
“Each track serves as a piece of a larger narrative, painting vivid portraits of a society lost in decay. The brooding melodies and aggressive riffs foster a chilling atmosphere, engulfing listeners in a state of disorientation and foreboding, where hope is fleeting, and truth feels out of reach”, the band muses.
Emerging in the early 2010s, the band quickly established themselves with a sound that blends the brutal intensity of metalcore with the intricate ferocity of djent and progressive metal. Their debut album, Bleed Red (2018), marked the beginning of their dark descent into the hearts of metal enthusiasts worldwide. Building upon their initial success, THE FIVE HUNDRED later released their second album, A World On Fire (2021), cementing their reputation as visionaries of modern metal.
THE FIVE HUNDRED’s relentless pursuit of thematic and musical excellence has made them a standout act, pushing the boundaries of heavy metal. With their new output, they invite their audience to journey into the darkest corners of a shattered world, proving once again their mastery in crafting epic, evocative soundscapes that linger long after the final note has faded.
Their third full-length album ‘Ghostwriter’ will be released on February 28th through Prime Collective.
