Smooth and safe travel to the hallowed festival grounds in Dessel

In a few short weeks the gates to the metal Walhalla in Dessel will once again swing wide. Below you’ll find a few useful tips to help you navigate our busy roads.

On your steel steed you can easily glide past bumper-to-bumper traffic. Do you come from further away? Then use the Park & Bike EAST or Park & Bike WEST car parks. Public transport is yet another easy way to travel to GMM. Click here to buy your train tickets at half price, including free shuttle bus service from Mol station!
 
Is someone dropping you off? Lucky you! Just follow the Kiss & Ride signs. From there it’s approximately a 2 km walk to the GMM festival site.
 
Would you like to travel to the festival in a comfortable coach? Then book a seat on our paying shuttle service. This coach will take you to and from more than thirty Belgian cities, Brussels Airport (BRU), Brussels South Airport (CRL) and Eindhoven Airport (EIN) in true VIP style. Buy your tickets for the airport shuttle (one way), camping shuttle (one way) or festival shuttle (round trip).Coming by car anyway?
Every year we give a lot of thought to how we can keep the impact of GMM on the surrounding area and the environment to a minimum. As a sustainable festival we want to make a difference. In addition to initiatives to reduce the rubbish pile, such as our Ducks of t(h)rash, we also want to curb our CO₂ emissions. That is why we are introducing paying car parks this year.
 
Parking tickets are only €15 per car if you buy them in advance online and you’re helping to avoid long queues at the car parks. On the day tickets are €20 per car (only bank or credit cards, NO cash). Attention: drive off = a new ticket. So if you come by car every day you’ll have to buy a new ticket every time.

If you have a VIP festival ticket and you’re staying at Campsite Boneyard then do NOT use the VIP car park. Instead please leave your car in one of the regular car parks, which are closer to Campsite Boneyard. Conversely, VIP parking tickets are valid in all car parks.Buy your parking ticketsTIP! Congestions are always a possibility, especially on Thursday. COMBI PLUS (VIP) ticket? Then come on Wednesday to avoid the worst traffic.
 
Good to know: Are you staying at a Graspop Metal Meeting campsite? Then collect your festival ticket and GMM tokens there. Day visitors can collect theirs in the dedicated area at the main entrance.
