FORMIDABLE WELSH RIFF MERCHANTS HELLDOWN ARE BACK WITH A POWERFUL NEW SINGLE!

Ferocious UK metal crew HELLDOWN stamp their authority on proceedings with their explosive new single and video, Beneath The Veil.

Attacking your senses from Swansea, Wales, and originally formed in 2013, the towering quartet consists of blood brothers Ben and Matthew Evans (respective Bassist/Vocalist and Rhythm Guitarist), Ross Thomas (Drums) and Lewis Larkman (Lead Guitarist). HELLDOWN’s self-titled EP arrived in 2016 and was swiftly backed by 2017’s single, The Watchers. Both releases laid sturdy foundations for the emerging groove metallers, and the unstoppable riff slingers pushed on ever further with the release of 2019’s EP, In Deaths Hands. As for many, the COVID-19 pandemic halted their plans for most of 2020 and 2021, but the popular metal crew returned and continued their climb in 2022 with their new single, Embers.

To date, the band has graced a slew of printed publications, and much-esteemed websites and radio, with support, also yielded from Metal Hammer, Powerplay Magazine, Ever Metal, Metal Talk, Moshville, Noizze, Maximum Volume Music, and Total Rock, to name just a few. HELLDOWN also has a towering live reputation and has shared stages with everyone from the likes of Phil Campbell, Toxic Holocaust, Exhumed, Acid Reign, Triaxis, Malignancy, and Gama Bomb to Hellripper.

HELLDOWN are now primed for their next chapter and are armed with a breathtaking new single, Beneath The Veil. The track is a stunning slab of

powerful heavy metal that emits a potent groove and deftly showcases the band’s supreme technical proficiency and songwriting mastery. The band remark about the single: “This song is the beginning of a new era where we’ve pulled away from our thrash roots and emphasized our heavier influences. Thematically, the song is about the truth behind our everyday lives, that if we peek beneath the veil, we will see the world how it truly is.”
