Tragedy – Tragedy Goes To The Movies7th February 2019 1 By John Deaux
What can be said about the greatest All Metal Tribute to The Bee Gees and Beyond band TRAGEDY that’s not been said before?
F**K ALL. It’s all been said.
Apart from comments on the new album of course, which will soon be rectified (I hope).
Tragedy Goes To The Movies is a pure work of art. Dolly Partons 9 to 5 set to Poisons Unskinny Bop is just delightful as well as Irene Caras Fame coupled with the Motley Crue riff Looks That Kill. All this happens on the album and so much more.
Jaws Goes To The XXX is a bit of a curve ball but then so is Skyfall, Got To Get You Into My Life and of course, the 20th Century Fox theme as they too have been given the Tragedy treatment. (Just wait to til you hear Aquarius/Let The Sunshine In with the Andrew Lloyd Webber Phantom Of The Opera theme.. Brilliant doesn’t even cover it)
As I stated previously about this band “…far from being a novelty act, these guys are GENIUS. If they don’t put a smile on your face, you must be dead inside” , I still stand by that statement.
Every album Tragedy have done has been amazing and Tragedy Goes To The Movies is no exception. I’ve smiled, been amazed and a whole heap of other emotions I didn’t even know existed.
This is a contender for album of the year, (and were only in February). It’s going to take a lot to beat this.Be prepared to sweat glitter and cum Confetti, Tragedy are coming for you.
