Empyre to perform a special acoustic gig in aid of mental health community project

28th February 2022 0 By Jon Deaux

Empyre are set to perform a special one-off acoustic gig in the magnificent setting of St. Andrew’s Church (Kettering Arts Centre) on Friday 11th March.
The event is in aid of community project “Johnny’s Happy Place” that provides help to those in need of mental health support. Based in Kettering and open to anyone and everyone Johnny’s Happy Place is a not for profit community centre and cafe run by volunteers, that aims to inspire wellbeing through community and creativity.

This will be the only occasion this year when Empyre will perform all their tracks from their critically acclaimed acoustic album ‘The Other Side’ released in 2021. Support on the night will be provided by Wolf Moon and Keiron Farrow. Tickets are just £10 and available from We Got Tickets: https://www.wegottickets.com/event/531392

Not only do Empyre have their acoustic gig and several festival dates coming up including ‘The Massive Weekend’ in Blackpool and ‘Sound Bay’ in Swansea, they have also been pictured back in the studio completing work on a new electric album to follow up 2019’s Self Aware.

Lead Singer Henrik Steenholdt comments about the prospect of a new album:
We are confident we have something very special to release that is just in the process of being completed. I wish I could say more at the moment than just giving a teaser, but when the times comes we’ll be shouting about the music on the album as loud as we can, so for now you’ll have to sit tight and wait.”
