Alt Grime Rockstars DeadWax Release New Track ‘Believe Me’

20th February 2024 0 By Jon Deaux

Yorkshire Alt-Grime Rockstars DeadWax, were born from a passion for heavy music and nurtured in the sweatbox clubs of northern UK. A unique fusion, attributed to a wide musical palette of metal, grime and hip-hop, DeadWax are a fierce, genre-bending force of nature and have gained a reputation for explosive engaging live shows, packed with furious energy and provoking lyrics which are instantly relatable.

New Single ‘Believe Me’ is out today and already received a premiere play on Radio 1’s BBC Introducing Rock with Alyx Holcombe.

“We wanted to make a bit of a statement track, ‘This is what we’re about, get to know’ type deal. It highlights a lot of the hype and bravado that DeadWax brings to the stage.

It really fun to write, combining our influence of bass music and heavy rock and metal, artists like Joyryde, MPH, Astroid Boys, Strategy and Manga Saint Hillaire. I can see it going off at a show or shutting down a rave!”

With a strong DIY ethic, DeadWax has written, recorded and produced their forthcoming EP from which ‘Believe Me’ is taken, as well as independently booking 30+ live shows across the UK in 2023. They have already sold out prestigious club venues across the North, including Leeds Hyde Park Book Club, BOOM and The Parish in Huddersfield.

DeadWax are now ready to spread their new breed of alt-grime rock across the UK and beyond.
