Anchor Lane share new video for single ‘Choke’

Glasgow-based alt-rock trio Anchor Lane have shared a lyric video for their single ‘Choke’. The third and final single from the band’s new album Call This A Reality? shows off what Anchor Lane do best: fast, pulsating rhythms, aggressive guitars and unshakeable vocal hooks.

Anchor Lane comment: “‘Choke’ is about giving in to your imperfections and letting them rule you because it’s easier than actually working on yourself. If suffering in your bad habits and being forever alone is what keeps finding you then it must be fate. Dwell in your misery. Give in. Give in. Give in.“

Anchor Lane‘s new album Call This A Reality? was produced by Bruce Rintoul (Twin Atlantic, Fatherson, Vukovi). The album has received support from BBC Radio One through Daniel P. Carter and Alyx Holcombe, as well as plays on BBC Radio Scotland, a ‘Track of the Week’ on Planet Rock Radio, and a playlist addition on Primordial Radio. It also went straight into four top 10 chart positions within its first week of release, including the Official Rock and Metal Chart and the Scottish Albums Chart.

Anchor Lane have been on tour in the UK since 28th January to promote Call This A Reality?. Catch the band at one of the remaining shows below:

Call This A Reality? follows the band’s 2020 debut album Casino, which went straight to number nine on the Official UK Rock Album Chart, as well as getting the band important support from the likes of NME, BBC Radio Scotland and Planet Rock. Despite being denied the ability to tour the album due to COVID, Anchor Lane secured performances at Download and the Isle of Wight Festival, as well as key support slots with Eagles of Death Metal, Tremonti and Skindred.
