Anti-Clone – InHuman – EP Review
4th April 2025 0 By Damian RoundingHaving recently caught Anti-Clone live supporting Red Method in Nottingham (REVIEW HERE)I was eager to hear how their latest studio offering, InHuman, stacked up. The EP doesn’t disappoint – it captures the energy of their live performance while pushing their sound in a bold, unsettling new direction.
The title track sets the tone immediately: creepy, yet undeniably catchy. Drawing influence from early Marilyn Manson with a modern industrial twist, Anti-Clone blends menace with melody in a way that feels both nostalgic and forward-thinking.
There’s a raw, old-school industrial edge reminiscent of Rammstein, but it’s injected with a contemporary pulse that keeps things fresh. The band’s use of eerie synth and guitar leads adds an atmospheric depth that really enhances the overall vibe—though, at times, these moments feel a little buried in the mix. Whether that’s an artistic choice or a production decision, it left me wanting more of those haunting textures up front.
Throughout the EP, pounding rhythms and aggressive riffs dominate, all while the vocals maintain a sinister presence that manages to both unnerve and captivate. It’s a striking balance, and it shows how far Anti-Clone have come in refining their unique take on industrial metal.
InHuman is a confident, visceral step forward for this rising UK act – an EP that embraces its influences while carving out a distinct identity of its own.
If you’re in Burnley tonight (4th April 2025), make your way down to Sanctuary to catch their EP release show. It’s going to be a hell of a night!
