Blind Chaos, Featuring I The Betrayer Members, Announce Christmas Covers EP

20th December 2023 0 By Jon Deaux

Norwegian metal duo Blind Chaos, featuring members of I The Betrayer, have announced the release of their Christmas covers EP “Heavy Metal Christmas”, on December 19th. This follows the release of their cover of the Wham classic ‘Last Christmas’ on December 15th.

The tracklisting for the “Heavy Metal Christmas” EP is:

1 – Last Christmas (Wham)

2 – All I Want For Christmas Is You (Mariah Carey)

3 – Santa Baby (Eartha Kitt)

4 – Santa Claus Is Coming To Town (Mariah Carey)

Blind Chaos is the heavy metal duo your mother didn’t think to warn you about. Made up of two utter insolents from Oslo Norway, Chris Wiborg and Kyle Sevenoaks. BC came about when the two members wanted to branch out into different genres than their main band I the Betrayer.

Speaking about the cover, Sevenoaks said: “This Christmas covers EP began life when the question was asked, “WHY THE FUCK DO I HAVE TO LISTEN TO THIS CRAP EVERY GODDAMN YEAR?” To which the most logical answer was: make it metal. So when you’re sat with your family on Christmas day, you can listen to metal while keeping your family happy that they get to listen to Christmas songs. Technically we’re not wrong.”

Blind Chaos has also announced a livestream of their EP on December 21st, 2023. I The Betrayer are currently busy in the studio working on their latest album and are set to host their livestream on January 27th, 2024.

I The Betrayer is made up of five guys from altogether different musical backgrounds brought together by their love of metal, and random chance, to create music that encompasses every part of their collective vision.

Influenced by all kinds of styles, from blues and progressive rock to death metal, they have managed to carve their own identity within the genre. Among the heavy metal chugging and pounding drums, you can expect to hear soaring vocal melodies leading to guttural lows, progressively inspired leads on top of driving metal progressions, and contemplative clean passages exploding into a forceful and commanding song.
