BETWEEN HERE & THERE ALBUM
TRACK 1 SATURDAY NIGHT
This track kicks off very intricate with melodic and harmonious piano keys, vocals are very soft which carry the track into synced guitar and drum rhythms which are also kept very smooth, and the song flows together very simplistically.
Its one of those songs you could sit in your car, turn the radio on and just cruise down the highway to, a very uplifting song.
It has some beautifully gentle sections with some inspired piano playing.
TRACK 2 I’LL BE WAITING
This track starts off with a quicker pace, with a rhythm which grabs you from the start, catchy and anthem filled. The middle of the song is filled with strong guitar chords which accompany the vocals in an impressive crescendo; this song has depth and yet still has that bounce.
Vocals are deep and gravelly, which in this track fits perfectly as the track itself is completely infectious, a well crafted track of good old-fashioned pure rock n roll.
TRACK 3 ONE MORE NIGHT
This track starts lighter than the other tracks, with deep guitars and drums in the background which are very slow-paced.
The song rolls into a small guitar solo in the middle which lifts the song from slow melodic paced into a strong riff which transforms the song completely. The song ends with masterful guitars which I was intrigued to hear as it gave the track a more vibrant vibe.
TRACK 4 WORTH THE WAIT
Another slow starter with very harmonious vocals and soft guitar, which slowly builds up to a mid tempo , arrangements and the overall feel of this track area lot similar to others on this album, simplistic and played very safe. Vocals lift near the end of the track and become very ballad’esque.
TRACK 5 LITTLE THINGS
Slightly quicker paced, but still very melodic, the vocals start off mellow but as the track progresses the pace quickens and you can appreciate the gritty vocals as the sounds becomes more diverse, this tracks rolls out into a classic sounding rock tune.
With a contrasting arrangement from middle to end with guitars transforming the track into one you can really feel ,the vocals now showing a lot of emotion and spirit i feel like the band have really gone outside of their limits which brings out real feeling and tone.
TRACK 6 LIFE IN A DAY
This track starts off with a mid tempo bounce, with guitars slowly grooving and soft piano keys, vocals keep you guessing at the start wondering how this song is going to change, then all of a sudden the pace is full on groove.
They have gone back to their roots on this album, it comes across very traditional and a little more fun, one that you can turn your volume up and dance along to.
A classic fun rock tune at its best.
TRACK 7 AFTER THE RAIN
This ballad type track has sophisticated sensibility which pushes their melodic choruses, has a slight bluesy feel, guitars and drums both playing moderately slow with deep yet elegant bass in the background.
The tempo does not change throughout this track and stays at a slow yet crisp pace.
TRACK 8 CANT HELP LOVING YOU
This track has a very earthy feel from the start with clear bluesy vocals.
Loving the acoustic feel to this track, it’s very subtle but has a very upbeat rhythm.
The pitch and tempo are relatively slow and quiet yet the subtleness keeps this track beautifully unique.
TRACK 9 NEVER GONNA LET YOU GO
The guitars and piano in this track are very intricate, which vocals suit perfectly with the rhythm, a heart warming melody which touches your soul.
The guitar solo which is central in this track is very rich which complements the vocals perfectly.
This country-bluesy style love ballad is certainly one you will want to get your hankies out for.
TRACK 10 ANYTIME,ANYPLACE, ANYWHERE
The vibe of this track is a little more upbeat but still along the same lines as the rest of the tracks, a mid tempo bluesy styled classic rock track.
The gruff vocals remind me of that of ‘Bryan Adams’, takes me back to the 80’s of old school rock n roll.
This track has a sombre feel, which makes you feel like your sitting outside in the countryside as the song writer is playing this song acoustically, it has that effect where you can picture yourself there.
TRACK 11 SO LONELY
This track probably my favourite on the track, a great upbeat tune, has brilliant guitar playing and singing , has a much more positive vibe.
The execution of the song is brilliant, it has prominent drums, and a nice guitar sound give this song a nice finish.
TRACK 12 DONT WALK AWAY
if you’re in a happy mood, then this track will fuel your joyousness quite well, it has a mix of upbeat guitars, vocals and bass.
The guitar work alone is fantastic on this track and i could quite happily just sit and listen to the guitar alone.
This has a great mix of power and love ballad – a superb end to the album.
Overall, this is a pretty awesome album with a mix of some classic tracks, and slower love songs.
If you’re a fan of 80’s love ballads or Bryan Adams then I suggest getting this album as it will be right up your street.
This album was beautifully put together for 80’s style classic rock fans.
