CONQUER DIVIDE ANNOUNCE APRIL EUROPEAN TOUR WITH THE WARNING

21st March 2024 0 By Jon Deaux

Conquer Divide have announced their first-ever European tour. They are about to hit the road with Mexican rockers The Warning, throughout April. They will be touring through Spain, Portugal, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Czech Republic, France and the UK. Tickets are available HERE.

They will begin on 4 April in Madrid, Spain at Sala Riviera, on to Lav, Lisbon (Portugal), then three further shows in Spain at Sala Capitol in Santiago de Compostela, Razzmatazz 1 in Barcelona and Kafe Antzokia in Bilbao. Next up is Magazzini Generali, Milan (Italy), Dynamo, Zurich (Switzerland), Backstage Werk, Munich (Germany), Meetfactory, Prague (Czech Republic), Metropol, Berlin (Germany), Live Music Hall, Köln (Germany), Alhambra, Paris (France) and Patronaat in Haarlem (The Netherlands) on 19 April. They then land in the UK on 21 April to play O2 Institute3 in Birmingham, Stylus in Leeds, The Garage in Glasgow, Y Plas in Cardiff and the tour ends at the O2 Forum Kentish Town, London on 27 April.

Talking about heading out on tour, guitarist Isabel Johnson says, “Touring outside of the USA has been a goal of ours for ages, especially with the support we’ve been getting across Europe with our newest album ‘Slow Burn’. As a born and raised Brit, my dream has been for Conquer Divide to tour the UK
and it’s finally happening!  We’ve always wanted to do an all-female lineup, so getting the opportunity to crush stages alongside The Warning is an absolute honour. Audiences can expect to hear songs from Slow Burn as well as some older fan favourites, so if you live on that side of the world come out and have some fun with us!”

The tour is off of the back of their incredible new album SLOW BURN which was released in September on Mascot Records and has gone on to smash through 25m streams already – with playlist additions on All New Metal, Rock Hard, The Core, Heavy Queens, Kickass Metal, New Nu and more. They picked up multiple BBC Radio 1 plays on The Rock Show with Daniel P. Carter and Introducing with Alyx Holcombe, with the latter saying “I’m obsessed” when playing N E W H E A V E N, calling it ”Powerful, triumphant, anthemic.”

They have had songs playlisted at Kerrang! Radio, Kerrang! TV and Primordial Radio. “Paralyzed” was one of the Metal Hammer tracks of the year with the album also being amongst the ‘Albums of the Year’ with them saying that they are “Bringing radio-friendly, sparkling pop-rock, before crashing in on a wave of gutturals and raging riffs.” They’ve picked up support from Rock Sound who called Paralyzed, “the most perfect blend of hard rock melody and metalcore intensity.” They also picked up praise from Distorted Sound, Alternative Press, Revolver, GuitarWorld, SXM Octane, Loudwire and more.

There is no doubt that 2023 was a breakout year for the band. As the accolades rained in, they also toured with Attack Attack, Icon for Hire, The Funeral Portrait and Electric Callboy – with whom they also collaborated on the massive hit FCKBOI.  They went on to play festivals such as Rockville and Blue Ridge festival where they shared the stage with Sleep Token and Polyphia.  Once they have finished in Europe with The Warning, they will be back on the road in the US, touring with Avatar, throughout May.

The album has connected with audiences across the world and with the sense of poignancy meeting heaviness, you can see why. It ushers in a new era for the band: the intensely personal lyrical storytelling, and a seamless balance between hard-hitting modern metal and irresistible melody. Slow Burn is stacked with confessional expressions of vulnerability, frustration and, ultimately, hope. They address social unrest (system_failure) and environmental destruction (welcome2paradise), with Biblical references (N E W H E A V E N) and intensely personal revelations of abuse (the INVISIBLE,  Playing w/ Fire). They’ve highlighted frustrations and struggles they’ve come across in the music industry on the album closer “gAtEkEePer.” “It’s a giant F U to all the industry gatekeepers who minimize women’s participation in rock and metal spaces,” they say. “Keep your damn gate. We’ll take the throne.”

The evolution within the band continues in this new era. Bassist/vocalist Janel Duarte is moving on after a decade in the band to new adventures. The band said, “Janel’s decision to focus on personal endeavors is something we fully support and respect.  It’s not easy being a touring musician, and as people we grow and evolve, so do their aspirations and priorities. Janel has been our friend for a decade and we’ll always have each other’s backs.” For the upcoming tours, the band will be joined by Madison Moon on vocals.

CONQUER DIVIDE are vocalist Kiarely Taylor, guitarist Isabel Johnson, drummer Samantha Landa, and guitarist Kristen Sturgis who hail from the U.S., U.K., and Canada – and they are going to absolutely crush audiences across Europe. Strap yourself in. You have been warned.
