Hyperspace MetalFest (Vancouver, BC) Adds GRAVESHADOW To 2023 Full Lineup w/ Exmortus, Striker, Riot City, Judicator and more!7th March 2023 1 By John Deaux
Canada’s premier melodic and power metal festival HYPERSPACE is proud to announce Sacramento, CA symphonic metal Graveshadow to its 2023 lineup in replacement of Immortal Guardian, who unfortunately are unable to make this year’s event being held on April 13-15 in Vancouver, BC at The Fox Cabaret and Rickshaw Theatre.
Graveshadow mixes symphonic/gothic metal with elements and influences from a variety of styles to create something epic, progressive, melodic, and powerful. The band released their third album, “The Uncertain Hour” in July of last year via M-Theory Audio. It was produced by Miss May I guitarist Justin Aufdemkampe (Clutch, War of Ages) and mastered by Alberto De Icaza (Crobot, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist).
Graveshadow will be joining HMF’s 2023 lineup that includes headliners California melo-death warriors EXMORTUS, Edmonton Juno Award winners, and heavy metal champions STRIKER, along with HMF alumni JUDICATOR and LORDS OF THE TRIDENT, Calgary’s speed demons Riot City, Atlanta power thrashers Paladin, Denver fantasy heroes Celestial Wizard along with locals, epic metallers Atavistia, and one-man instrumentalist Zack Brannon among many more for the three-night event. Highlights of the confirmed bands include American melodic death metal band Exmortus, whose lyrics mostly deal with battles and war along with Striker, one of Canada’s favourite heavy metal shredders and 2020 Juno award winners for Best Metal / Hard Music Album of The Year for their sixth studio album “Play To Win”. Tucson, AZ’s Judicator is returning for their second performance at the festival with their historical-based storytelling metal. They will be supporting their sixth album ‘The Majesty of Decay’ out now via Prosthetic Records.
Over the three editions of Hyperspace Metal Festival, bands from all over the world have come to play power, prog, melodic death, and speed metal on the Canadian West Coast. The festival has presented lineups that have included performances by Into Eternity, Witherfall, Planeswalker, Iron Kingdom, Helion Prime, Ravenous, Crimson Shadows, West of Hell, Judicator, Odinfist, Tanagra, Scythia, Greyhawk, The Order of Chaos, Red Cain, and many more.
