Jason Walsh, Michael Murphy And Bronam – Accoustic Set and Fundraiser III – Eagle Inn, Manchester; 31st January 2025.

Jason Walsh, most commonly known as the frontman and lead vocalist of Post Hardcore band Kill The Silence, performs his second special acoustic set at The Eagle Inn, Salford. The Eagle Inn is a small venue and pub located at 19 Collier St, Salford M3 7DW in the heart of the Salford District.

With a set packed full of Kill The Silence favourites, some popular covers and maybe even a sprinkle of other original material. Jason is going to be running for Mencap in the London Marathon 2025, All proceeds from this show will be going directly to the fundraiser, in which is aiming to achieve £2,500 for the charity before the big day in April 2025

Support for the evening came in the form of Michael Murphy and Bronam.

Firstly, I’d like to give a shout out to this venue for hosting this evening free of charge for the show to go ahead for this cause. The venue is a small venue but has such a robust and aesthetic charm about it. It was unfortunate that I had a few issues with my camera battery (technology and all that) so unfortunately did not get any pictures this evening but the aesthetics of the venue are beautiful and made the atmosphere for an acoustic set absolutely incredible.

Kicking off the show was Rob Matthew Nixon Milligan representing local Manchester band Bronam. With haunting vocals and powerful emotional set, Rob kicked the show off superbly. Although the venue is on the smaller side the room was full of bodies just in the zone and tuning right into the music.

Following on from the superb set from Rob was Michael Murphy who although also is part of the three piece band Bronam for the evening represented himself as a solo artist. Michael is due to release an EP showcasing his spectacular talents as a solo artist and credit to himself as a musician proving his sheer emotional vocal capability on the 23rd February 2025, the EP entitled ‘Lighthouse‘ will be available on all major streaming platforms.

Finishing the evening was the closing act Jason Walsh. I have only ever been exposed to Jason’s musical capabilities and charismatic stage presence from seeing him on stage with Kill The Silence on the 11th January 2025 (if you haven’t read our article about this, this can be found >> HERE <<). It was phenomenal to see a more raw and vulnerable side to Jason, who’s set I absolutely adored including some well known songs such as ‘obviously’ by McFly and a rendition of Britney Spears ‘Toxic’ alongside an amazing duo with his fantastic brother Curtis performing ‘Tribute’ by Tenacious D was a right treat – absolute smashed the performance showing if not more charismatic stage presence than his brother Jason.
