Jessica Lynn Releases a Special, Fan-Shot Footage Music Video for ‘Love Me That Way’, Keeping the Beacon of Live Music Aflame
6th November 2020Country-crossover sensation Jessica Lynn is delighted to release the official music video for her song ‘Love Me That Way’: her single, out now to download and stream from all digital platforms. Jessica, who’s famed for the stagecraft and spectacle of her live shows, has put together this special video, drawing on her fans to do so, to keep the memory and magic of live music alive in people’s minds in a time when events and gigs cannot, at present, take place.
“‘Love Me That Way’ is one of my favorite songs from my new television concert special on Amazon Prime: Live at Dramatic Hall,” Jessica explains.
It’s a song very much in tune with Jessica’s pigeonhole-defying appeal that has built her fanbase not just in Country music and Americana, but beyond. “I connect so much with it,” she says, “because it is a very good representation of who I am as an artist: a little country, rock, pop, blues, and soul.
‘Love Me That Way’ is about giving love va-va-voom, not just accepting some kind of half-hearted or humdrum feelings or experience. “If you’re gonna break my heart then crush it!” proclaims the song! No half measures here!
“There is so much passion in a relationship,” says Jessica, “often when things are going wrong and not always when they are going right. I wrote this song about having that same fire ALL of the time.”
Full of tasty guitarwork, and even honky-tonk-like piano, ‘Love Me That Way’ brings Jessica’s strong lyrics, songwriting and vocals with power and verve to the fore and the track flatly defies you to slap a simple genre label on it
Jessica’s fans have played a major part in this particular music video, as she herself explains: “Throughout this pandemic, my fans have given me such incredible and loving support so I wanted to do something special for the music video for ‘Love Me That Way’.
“Since no-one Is able to travel or experience live music at this time, I wanted to create a music video filled with wonderful memories of adventure and the road: performing this song all over the world on my last International tour.
“We searched the internet for footage, so everything you see in the video was taken by fans or crew at the concerts in New York, Lithuania, France, England, Scotland, Poland, and Germany! A video for the fans — by the fans. Thank you all for being there with me through this crazy and wonderful ride!”
Watch this video and you’ll see the energy, enthusiasm and colour that Jessica Lynn brings to each and all of her live gigs, whatever the venue, not to mention her rapport with her audiences, whatever the nation. It’s a great reminder of how vibrant live gigs can be and how Jessica Lynn brings a big show to even intimate venues.
Speaking of live touring: Jessica’s message to her UK fans remains: “I am SO thrilled to be coming to the UK next May for my rescheduled Lone Rider tour. We were even able to add on two additional cities that I’ve been really wanting to go to! As sad as I was this year for our cancellation, I have been able to connect with everyone over in the UK via my livestreaming performances and have made so many new friends along the way. I cannot wait to see you all and will work on an even bigger and better show in the meantime, as well as releasing a lot of new music for you!”
