KISS, Luke Combs, Common & more launch mental health charity initiative

19th May 2022 0 By Jon Deaux

Live music discovery platform, Bandsintown, and fan-powered charitable fundraising platform, Fandiem, announce a new online fundraising campaign to support nonprofits as part of Mental Health Awareness Month. The “Hear To Help” campaign will benefit MusiCares, Charity Bomb, The Taylor Foundation, Sounds of Saving, Mental Wealth Alliance, and the T.A.S.T.E. Foundation and further support their efforts to raise awareness and fund programs for mental health.

Fans who donate directly to “Hear To Help” at fandiem.com/heartohelp have the opportunity to win unique experiences and prizes from partners representing an eclectic coalition of musical genres and fan communities. Participating “Hear To Help” partners include Corey Taylor (Slipknot/Stone Sour), Luke Combs, KISS, Common, benny blanco, KORN, Anthony Hamilton, Collie Buddz, and Louder Than Life and INKcarceration Festivals. Prizes offered to fans include an all expense-paid trip to London to “Hang Out with Corey Taylor,” a VIP trip to meet Luke Combs on his upcoming “The Middle of Somewhere” tour, a trip to see KISS and meet the band at this September’s Louder Than Life Festival in Louisville, KY, and a one-on-one virtual studio hang with benny blanco.

“We created Bandsintown For Good to turn fans’ love for live music into social good. Mental health is impacting fans and artists alike. We’re proud to team up with Fandiem and great artists to help raise awareness and money to help support this important cause,” said Fabrice Sergent, managing partner of Bandsintown.

“The issue of mental health has impacted all walks of life, including those working in the music industry, which can be particularly challenging both physically and emotionally,” adds Jared Heiman, Fandiem’s co-founder. “As part of our ongoing partnership with Bandsintown we are proud to collaborate with these amazing artists and festivals to support those that face these challenges every day.”

Bandsintown and Fandiem first joined forces in 2021 and together have raised more than $598,000 in direct fan donations to support nonprofits nationwide. More recently, in February, the two launched the “F-COVID” fundraising campaign in partnership with Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, which benefitted musicians and music industry workers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. That initiative alone raised over $160,000 in direct contributions from fans. Participating artists in “F-COVID” included Metallica, Eric Church, Nine Inch Nails, Imagine Dragons, Kesha, Clairo, Billy Idol, Jason Isbell, Chicago, and more.
