LORDI – announce first dates of »Unliving Pictour Show 2024«

Halloween, the most monstrous season is upon us. Wait, no! It seems that this statement has been placed without considering Finnish rock outfit LORDI which will actually hit the road again in spring 2024. After introducing their new album »Screem Writers Guild« (released on March 31, 2023 through Atomic Fire Records) to enthusiastic masses in European arenas alongside metal greats SABATON and BABYMETAL in April/May, the band is preparing to haunt fans with its own headlining tour again. The »Unliving Pictour Show 2024« spook circus train will bring their latest material to the screens of the continent’s cinemas — pardon! — to the stages of Europe, incl. 17 performances in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. »Screem Writers Guild« was produced by Mr. Lordi with Mana and Janne Halmkrona as executive producers. Ilkka Herkman took care of its mixing and Pauli Saastamoinen mastered the record. The artwork was also designed by Mr. Lordi who has made a name as director for the band’s vision since the early ’90s. Its title is a reference (and a “LORDIfied” play on words) to the “Screen Writers Guild,” an association of screen writers in Hollywood (’20s to ’50s), yet there is no doubt that LORDI‘s musical version is much louder and fiercer. “The record itself isn’t a real concept album, but it obviously plays with the overall cinematic theme,” says Mr. Lordi.

Founded in 1992 by singer, songwriter and designer Mr. Lordi, LORDI are one of the major Finnish rock / heavy metal acts of our time. Originally rooted in Rovaniemi (Northern Lapland, Finland), the band achieved their international breakthrough after winning the Eurovision Song Contest with their hit song ‘Hard Rock Hallelujah’ in 2006. 

Since then, the unconventional troop has rocked their way into the spotlight of Europe with charm, unforgettable tunes and elaborate monster costumes, and have become an integral part of the line-ups of globally recognized festivals such as Wacken Open Air (DE) and Masters of Rock (CZ) among others.
