LORNA SHORE RELEASE NEW MUSIC VIDEO FOR ‘WELCOME BACK, O’ SLEEPING DREAMER’28th September 2023
Hot off their North American trek supporting Mastodon and Gojira, LORNA SHORE are now giving fans a new video for ‘Welcome Back, O’ Sleeping Dreamer’, directed and edited by Eric Richter and produced by Paul Henon//Midvessel, – the opening track from 2022’s groundbreaking record Pain Remains.Order Pain Remains here.
Guitarist Adam De Micco comments:
“‘Welcome Back, O’ Sleeping Dreamer’ is a song that we feel deserves as much of the light as any other song on Pain Remains. It was a pivotal song in the writing process – it was the song to get the momentum going for the rest of the record. It was the song that we had the most enjoyment writing and I think to this day is probably one of our favorite songs on the record. It’s as dark as it is light and it’s as intense while not being overbearing. It has become the closest thing to balance as far as our songs are concerned. It is also a song that encapsulates a lot of who we are as a band while being unique from the rest of the songs on Pain Remains.
“Working with Eric was something that we have been wanting to do for some time now. He has always been someone we would reference or were inspired by so it only made sense to do a video with him. It was also a unique experience for us this time because we were in the trenches with him making decisions on everything regarding the video. As an artist you want to see your vision come to light and working with Eric this way, we were able to bring that vision forward.”
To coincide with this video launch, new ‘Welcome Back, O’ Sleeping Dreamer’ themed merch, two exclusive Halloween designs and more are also available now at: https://lornashorestore.com/.

Since this EP, LORNA SHORE have continued to take the music world by storm – most recently by appearing at some of the biggest festivals across Europe in the run up to the second-leg of their North American tour with metal heavyweights Mastodon and Gojira.
For LORNA SHORE, 2020 was nothing short of a reckoning – in a career built on challenges, changes and a single-minded vision. For the New Jersey quintet, 2020 signalled the pandemic and cancelled tours. The following year presented the band with a staggering creative challenge in the form of the song, “To the Hellfire” (currently at 11M+ views on YouTube, 23M+ streams on Spotify), from their hugely well-regarded EP …And I Return to Nothingness.
Yet, through it all, they upped their sonic ante with new album, Pain Remains, that not only aligns with everything LORNA SHORE has hinted at, but it also exceeds that – brutally and magnificently. “I’m a firm believer in the butterfly effect,” says guitarist Adam De Micco. “While you can try and boil it down to one song or one moment in a song, that’s just one moment in a career with a lot leading up to that.”
“”Hellfire” was a big, viral moment for the band, but we are way more than just a viral 30-second breakdown band,” adds drummer Austin Archey. Clocking in at just over an hour, Pain Remains is as far-reaching in scope as any modern extreme metal album. It thinks big, pushing beyond preconception or musical boundaries.
