RADAR FESTIVAL wins Best New Festival at the UK Festival Award 2022

7th December 2022 0 By Jon Deaux

RADAR Festival – the UK’s most exciting new progressive music festival – has won ‘Best New Festival’ in the 2022 UK Festival Awards. The event was also nominated in the ‘Best Grassroots Festival’ category.

This award is a huge achievement for RADAR Festival, which sold out its 2022 edition in Guildford. Festival director Catherine Jackson comments: “We’re delighted and very surprised to have won ‘Best New Festival’, which reflects the hard work all of our team put in to the event. We can’t wait to up the ante even more next year and continue the RADAR story in Manchester.”

RADAR 2023 will be held at the Manchester’s BEC Arena, with progressive metal titans Periphery announced as its first headliner. Full lineup so far:

Periphery
Haken
(The Mountain anniversary set)
Unprocessed
Loathe
Long Distance Calling
Heart Of A Coward
Tides From Nebula
Owane & Jack Gardiner
SUMR
(first ever live show)
Ghost Iris
Allt
Playgrounded
Tiberius

RADAR Festival has moved to a new home for 2023:

“RADAR 2023 is a big step up for us. We’re booking a huge lineup and have some big ideas for our new venue, The BEC Arena in Manchester. We are super excited to release more information about our crazy plans for the site, so keep an eye on our socials for that and further line-up drops!”

Following the sell-out success of RADAR 2022, the festival’s second ever edition (featuring Leprous, Haken, Dirty Loops‘ debut UK performance and many more), RADAR 2023 is moving from Guildford’s Corner House to Manchester’s BEC Arena and will boast an internationally acclaimed 42-band bill.

RADAR Festival 2023 will be held 28-30th July.

Early bird tickets are now sold out. Weekend tickets are £133.75, and you can purchase here: https://bit.ly/RDR2023

With their mixture of international talent and confirmed homegrown success, RADAR Festival has already positioned themselves as champions of forward-thinking guitar-led progressive music. No genre boundaries, welcome to all, RADAR Festival was launched in 2019 to acclaim, with performances from Animals As Leaders, Agent FrescoRolo Tomassi, among others. Following the COVID hiatus, RADAR Festival 2022 expanded to three days with triumphant appearances from Leprous, Haken, Dirty Loops, Plini, Conjurer, Soen and more.
