Scorpions announced as new headliners on Friday 17 June 2022

22nd March 2022 0 By Jon Deaux

Here I am, rock you like a hurricane! With career album sales in excess of 100 million copies and more than 5,000 concerts in 80 countries under their belt, it’s fair to say that Scorpions have attained legendary status. Following the release of their 19th studio album ‘Rock Believer’, the German rock heroes are ready to hit the road again and we are stoked to announce they are returning to the hallowed festival grounds in Dessel on 17 June 2022!

Bands with a career that spans half a century need no introduction. The Scorpions owe their longevity to the boundless musical pleasure they’ve given their worldwide fan base these many years. It also shows that the band members themselves have never lost that inner fire so it’s no coincidence that their 19th studio outing should be titled ‘Rock Believer’. The German rock meisters are gearing up for a new tour of the world’s largest stadiums and festival arenas!

Unfortunately,

Joyous Wolf, Killswitch Engage, L7, Monster Magnet and Obituary

have been forced to cancel their appearance at the 25th edition of GMM.

No worries though because GMM is adding a truckload of home-grown talent to the bill: Enthroned, Killthelogo, Strains, The Curse of Millhaven and Toxic Shock will shake Dessel to its foundations!

And with the further addition of Celeste, Counterparts, Dana DentataDestruction, Dirty Honey, Eisbrecher, Rival Sons, Smash Into Pieces and Walls of Jericho our 2022 lineup is nearly complete.Only day tickets for Friday 17 June are still available. Click HERE to buy your tickets now.

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to Dessel on 16, 17, 18 and 19 June 2022 for the 25th edition of Graspop Metal Meeting.

Stay metal, stay safe & take care!
