STONER PUNKS BOKASSA INVITE YOU TO THE “GARDEN OF HEATHEN”

STONER PUNKS BOKASSA INVITE YOU TO THE “GARDEN OF HEATHEN”

24th August 2023 0 By Jon Deaux

Norway’s wryest export BOKASSA is back and ready to drag you kicking and screaming into their dystopian future.

The first hint of what’s to come comes by way of a heavy-hitting new track, Garden Of Heathen, released today alongside an official video. A melodically-driven, stoner punk track that’s unmistakably BOKASSA, its hefty drums, smooth riffs, and catchy lyrics are only enhanced further by guest vocals from none other than New York hardcore legend, Lou Koller (Sick Of It All). The single is taken from the band´s forthcoming new album, which was recorded by Tue Madsen (Meshuggah, The Haunted, Halford) at Antfarm Studios in Denmark – stay tuned for more details soon.

Frontman Jørn Kaarstad states, “Garden of Heathen is a fast, riffy, melodic stoner-punker with one of our best choruses. A band favourite and a perfect way to kickstart a new album. There’s just something about the explosiveness of the track that makes it a real banging tune, in our opinion. The fact that the legendary Lou Koller from Sick Of It All appears on the track is nothing short of epic!”

The unsquashable live dynamos are excited to hit the road with hard rock squad Therapy? later this year across Europe, including a number of UK dates leading into the Christmas festivities. Jørn comments, “I already think Therapy?’s ‘Poundland of Hope and Glory’ is one of the best tunes of 2023 so the fact that we get to see it live for 26 dates over the UK and Europe alongside all their hits is awesome!”
