UFO: COVENANT + SHARKS, 3CD REVIEW

UFO: COVENANT + SHARKS, 3CD REVIEW

9th May 2024 1 By Jon Deaux

This 3CD set by UFO features the Covenant + Sharks and is a must-have for any fan of the band. The live edition captures the energy and excitement of the band’s performances and is perfect for those who love to rock.

Covenant was first released in 2000 with Sharks being issued in 2002. Both albums were overlooked at the time but have started to garner long-overdue recognition for being great albums.

The added bonus of having live tracks from 1995 is the ‘cherry’ on top. To hear Michael Schenker, Phil Mogg, Pete Way, and Paul Raymond live again is a dream come true.

The classics of Rock Bottom, Too Hot To Handle and Mother Mary are almost as good as the Strangers In The Night album. The tracks from Walk On Water (‘Venus’ and ‘Pushed To The Limit’) which I hadn’t heard live, slip in seamlessly.

This CD set is perfect for those who love rock and want to add some classic tunes to their collection. Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity to own a piece of UFO history.

A superb sounding master as well as really nice packaging.

Score 7/10
