3TEETH Cover Foster The People’s “PUMPED UP KICKS”; Set Sights On Song’s Commentary On Gun Culture In Blistering New Video New Album METAWAR Out This Friday

3TEETH, who are less than a week away from the release of their Century Media debut, METAWAR, cover Foster The People’s “Pumped Up Kicks,” highlighting the song’s commentary on school shootings in blistering new video.

“Industrial bands have a long history of subverting popular culture songs. From songs like Revolting Cocks’ version ‘Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?’ or Laibach’s ‘Sympathy for the Devil,” says 3TEETH front man Alexis Mincolla. “We’ve just always been a fan of this sort of thing and felt it would be a good time to take an iconic song of the late 2000’s and give it some unexpected 2019 industrial darkness, which in the end seemed all too fitting considering the song is about a school shooter.”

The video is the fifth clip to accompany the July 5 release, with 3TEETH being unapologetically pointed in their critique of modern American life throughout the cannon of videos. “PRESIDENT X” tackles rampant conspiracy theories, “AFFLUENZA ” addresses the impact of pop culture consumerism, “AMERICAN LANDFILL” highlights the police state and the NSFW “EXXXIT” explores self-liberation.

3TEETH have just kicked off a two-week European tour with Ministry, followed by a month of North American dates.

Additionally 3TEETH have revealed plans for an exclusive London launch party to celebrate the release of new album ‘METAWAR’. The band will take over London’s Electrowerks on Friday 5th July for a party featuring guest DJ sets from the band and Soft Leather’s Johnny Love, with a band meet & greet, signing session and merch giveaways too.

“We’ve played a lot of great shows in the past at the legendary Electrowerkz and thought it only seemed fitting to throw a killer album release party here.” Says frontman Lex Mincolla. “So come out have a drink with us and celebrate the birth of our latest monster.”METAWAR pre-orders are available HERE!3TEETH released their self-titled debut album in 2014, seeing the 14-track collection top the iTunes electronic charts and gaining the outfit widespread attention, both amongst music lovers and musicians, leading to the band’s opening slot on two legs of Tool’s 2016 North American tour. Once off the road, 3TEETH locked themselves in the studio, releasing their sophomore album, <shutdown.exe>, in the Spring of 2017. The album debuted at #23 on Billboard, and took the band across North America and Europe — headlining, and supporting acts such as Rammstein and Danzig. 3TEETH is Alexis Mincolla (vocals), Xavier Swafford (keyboards), Andrew Means (modular synth/bass), Chase Brawner (guitar) and Justin Hanson (drums). 3TEETH online:Website
