RAMBLIN’ MAN FAIR – LINE UP ANNOUNCEMENT

6th March 2019 0 By Jon Deaux

Following on from the critically acclaimed and commercially successful fourth year in 2018, Ramblin’ Man Fair returns in 2019! This year the festival will move back its traditional end of July slot on the 19th, 20thand 21stJuly.

AIRBOURNE (Sunday Main Stage Special Guest) – Unswerving champions of the hard rock cause whose spectacular global success, live and on record, has consistently clenched a fist for the genre as a whole. Driven by a formidable work-hard/play-hard ethic, and keen to entertain on the grandest of scales, this award-winning quartet (formed in regional Australia in 2003) have been proudly walking the rock ‘n’ roll path since their early teenage years, inspired by the music’s great and glorious past, yet determined to move things forward on a wave of blurred limbs & boundless energy.

“…and ‘Ramblin’ Man’ rambles on… The gutsy little Rock’n’Roll battler of a festival that has grown into the menacing TYRANT OF ROCK that it is today. I love the electricity that’s burning like a bushfire here. Gutsy people come here to work, gutsy bands and gutsy people come here to rock out and at some point we’ll all fully let loose and live it up to the absolute mega max amongst an absolute mega power packed weekend of mega rock!
See ya soon Ramblin’ Man me ol’ mate!” – Joel O’Keeffe (AIRBOURNE)

JESSE DAYTON (Outlaw Country Stage) – Jesse Dayton’s story reads like a who’s who of American music.  Want to talk about being “born into it”?  Imagine a 15-year-old kid born and raised on the Texas/Louisiana border, playing his Telecaster guitar in all-black zydeco bands in Lake Charles, Louisiana; honky-tonk country bands with members left over from the Starday Records’ George Jones days around his hometown of Beaumont, Texas. While Dayton is ignored by mainstream country radio, his cult following in the US and Europe continues to grow. A whole new crowd of Americana listening room folks, young college alternative rock fans & disenfranchised aging punk rockers embrace him. And we at Ramblin’ Man  can’t wait to see him tear up a storm on the Outlaw country stage at this years fair.

AIRBOURNE and JESSE DAYTON join already announced bands including Rock legends FOREIGNER (Sunday’s Planet Rock Main Stage Headliner), BLACK STONE CHERRY (Saturday’s Planet Rock Main Stage Headliner), American blues singer/songwriter BETH HART (Blues Stage Headliner)Prog in the Park Headliner ANATHEMA, THE DARKNESS (Friday Planet Rock Main Stage Headliner), THE WILDHEARTS (Friday Main Stage Special Guest), LIVING COLOUR (Main Stage), KOYO (Prog in the Park Stage), ORANGE GOBLIN(Grooverider Stage), CROBOT (Grooverider Stage), OBSESSED(Grooverider Stage),ROBERT JON AND THE WRECK (Outlaw Stage) and CHRIS ROBINSON BROTHERHOOD as well asmore prog acts including Swedish act Pain of Salvationand polish prog giants Riverside.
