LINE-UP 2022
SKID ROW
The first rebellion started in 1986, New Jersey kids, punk and metal attitude, determined to conquer the world. All for one banded together with a single-minded purpose. The battlefield was the stage, the songs their arsenal in an us-against-them musical coup d’état. The world was theirs, the rebellion won until there was nothing left to fight for — so they fought each other. Following an ill-advised South American tour in 1996, the band was finished, but the core camaraderie never died. Now, Skid Row is gearing up to record the final instalment of the United World Rebellion trilogy with a sound that is rambunctious exuberance. They got older, but Skid Row never really grew up. United World Rebellion – Chapter Three is still the youth gone wild, their musical spark still burning gasoline.
THE DARKNESS
With a back catalogue overflowing with sonic gold and a live reputation that most bands can only dream of attaining, The Darkness have established themselves as one of the most loved and important British rock bands of our time. Their last album prior to their Motoheart release, 2019’s Easter Is Cancelled, became the band’s fourth Top 10 album in the UK, whilst also topping the Official Charts Top 40 Rock Chart and the iTunes Rock Chart, alongside receiving swathes of critical praise.
UGLY KID JOE
Ugly Kid Joe is an iconic rock band that formed in Isla Vista, California in 1990 whose name is a pun on the glam hair band Pretty Boy Floyd. Unlike other garage bands, UKJ’s sound touches on a range of styles, including hard rock, southern, funk, rap and thrash. The UKJ guys have cited many times, that they are simply a manifestation of their environment and lifestyles mounting from their geographic location of Southern California. UKJ enjoyed popularity in the early to mid 1990s with their mix of sarcastic humour and metal sound.
VANDENBERG
Dutch-American hard rock legends Vandenberg will be hopping aboard the HRH15 Mothership, with their new vocalist addition of Mats Leven. Having a career span dating back to 1981, these rockers will be pulling out all the stops playing hits from their back catalogue alongside some new tracks off their latest release 2020; their first release in over 35 years!
GIRLSCHOOL
Although The Runaways preceded them by several years, Girlschool was one of the first all-female outfits to emerge in the male-dominated world of heavy metal/hard rock, helping to pave the way for similar groups of the future. Originally formed in South London during 1977 by bassist Enid Williams and vocalist/guitarist Kim McAuliffe (along with a few other members), the group was first known as Painted Lady. Eventually, the pair came across permanent members and switched their name to Girlschool by 1978. With England just about to be swept up by a massive heavy metal movement (known as the New Wave of British Heavy Metal), Girlschool picked a perfect time to issue a debut single, Take It All Away which caught the attention of Motorhead Manager Doug Smith who in turn signed on as Girlschool‘s manager after supporting both Motorhead and Budgie on tour.
ENUFF Z’NUFF
Enuff Z’Nuff are the living, breathing example of what a rock/pop group should be. The band was formed in 1984 in Blue Island, Illinois with their first release Fingers On It, giving the band some initial recognition when the track was featured in the 1986 cult movie, Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer. The band had signed with Atco/Atlantic Records that in 1989 and released their debut self-titled album. 1991 saw the band release its follow up, Strength. The album had more of a rock overtone, and following its release, the band became regulars on shows like David Letterman and Howard Stern and was featured in Rolling Stone’s hot issue as ‘the next big thing‘. 1993 the band left Atco records and moved to Arista, releasing the album, Animals With Human Intelligence. Still a major force after 20+ albums, Enuff Z’nuff still has a legion of loyal fans and have earned the respect and acclaim of their peers and contemporaries.
BONAFIDE
Bonafide was formed by Pontus Snibb in Malmö, southern Sweden, in 2006 with one mission: to play hard rock the way it’s supposed to be played: true to its’ roots in the electric blues and early R&B. In October 2007 Bonafide released their debut, simply titled Bonafide. Immediately they became quite busy playing the Scandinavian club and festival circuit, and supporting bands such as Deep Purple, Europe, Status Quo, Y&T, LA Guns, The Quireboys and countless of others in arenas and theatres. February 2017, it was yet again time for another album, entitled Flames, which was preceded by the single Smoke & Fire in late December. In 2017 the band also celebrated its 10th anniversary and the party certainly won’t stop! Bonafide has always done what they wanted. There’s no place for posturing. No semblance of selling out. No concessions and no corners cut. Just good, honest rock and roll.
DOBERMANN
A true rock pedigree, delivering a snarlingly good set with plenty of bite since 2011, Dobermann have toured relentlessly, fiercely accruing over 800 shows in 15 countries and counting. Despite having no record label, no booking agency or management, the band led by singer, bass player and firebreather Paul Del Bello, and completed by guitar shredder Valerio Ricciardi and powerhouse drummer Antonio Burzotta, has also kept up consistent studio activity, releasing 3 albums and an EP in a mere 8 years. Dobermann have also hit major festival stages at Rock the Ring, Pivo in Cvetje Lasko, Suoni di Marca and Cubelles Rock among the others. Ripping through towns night after night, fuelled by relentless determination and a non-stop work ethic, the pirate ship known as Dobermann, is alive and well.
THUNDERMOTHER
Thundermother don’t just play rock’n’roll. Thundermother are rock’n’roll!
With have big plans and a solid foundation, the Thundermother sound on the new album Heat Wave is even groovier, fatter and presents 13 tracks with an absolute catchy tune. Heat Wave reveals the full potential of the four exceptional musicians; the special mix that Thundermother create on this album appeals to fans of rock ‘n’ roll, blues, punk and heavy metal alike.
BLACK ACES
Black Aces were formed in early 2007 by singer-guitarist Tyler Kinder in the town of Bendigo, Victoria, whose aim was to develop a band influenced by the greats of Australian rock, AC/DC, Rose Tattoo, The Angels and Cold Chisel. The early years of their existence were spent playing various local Bendigo venues. It was during these tentative first steps that the band underwent a number of lineup changes before settling on a 4 piece lineup in early 2011 that many still love and know today.
BLACK RAINBOWS
Black Rainbows are a stoner rock band originating from Roma, Italy. Starting initially in 2006 as a tongue-in-cheek means to play heavy psych and desert rock, the trio would evolve into a sizable act in Europe’s stoner rock scene. Notably, the band draws influences from several psych, heavy rock and stoner acts such as MC5, Blue Cheer, Hawkwind, Black Sabbath, Kyuss, Monster Magnet, Fu Manchu and Nebula just to name a few.
HAWKLORDS
Essentially a Hawkwind spin-off band, the Hawklords‘ run barely lasted a year but proved significant in convincing founder-guitarist Dave Brock to give his parent band one more shot. The initial impetus grew from Hawkwind’s six-week support stint in the U.S. between February and April 1978. Brock reportedly found the exercise so dispiriting that he sold his guitar just minutes after the final gig in California.GET YOUR HARD ROCK HELL XVGET YOUR HARD ROCK HELL XV TICKETS
